Job Title: Computer Science Teacher
Location: Doncaster (DN2, DN6)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you an experienced Computer Science Teacher with a passion for developing students’ digital literacy and computational thinking?

GSL Education are currently looking for a committed Computer Science Teacher to join supportive schools in Doncaster (DN2, DN6).

As a Computer Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that strengthen students’ understanding of programming, algorithms, and digital systems.

Your Responsibilities as a Teacher of Computer Science:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Computer Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach key topics such as programming, algorithms, data representation, and computer systems across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to support achievement.
  • Promote logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and digital creativity among students.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Guide students in developing safe, ethical, and responsible digital practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, school staffs and parents to contribute to departmental goals and whole-school initiatives.

To be a Computer Science Teacher, what you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science in UK secondary schools is desirable.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
