Job Title: Drama Teacher
Location: Doncaster (DN2, DN6)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you a creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher looking to inspire students through performing arts?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Drama Teacher to join welcoming secondary schools in Doncaster (DN2, DN6).
As a Teacher of Drama, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ confidence, creativity, and communication skills. You will encourage collaboration, self-expression, and performance skills, helping students to thrive both on stage and in the classroom.
Responsibilities of a Drama Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Support students in developing performance, improvisation, and theatre production skills.
- Assess student work, provide feedback, and monitor progress.
- Encourage creativity, teamwork, and self-expression in a safe and inclusive environment.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Collaborate with colleagues to organise school performances and enrichment activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in Drama and Performing Arts.
- Previous experience teaching Drama in secondary schools is desirable.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
