Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Doncaster (DN2, DN6)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you a passionate and creative Art Teacher looking to inspire students through visual arts and design?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join supportive and engaging secondary schools in Doncaster (DN2, DN6).
As an Art Teacher, you will deliver stimulating lessons of art and design that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression. You will help students develop practical skills, explore different media, and gain confidence in their own creative abilities.
Main Responsibilities of an Art Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Support students in developing skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, and other artistic media.
- Encourage creativity, independent thinking, and personal expression.
- Assess student work, track progress, and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and inspiring classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and enrichment opportunities.
To be a Teacher of Art, you should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in Art and practical experience in a range of artistic techniques.
- Previous experience teaching Art in secondary schools is desirable.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
