Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: £460–£650 per week

Do you enjoy leading classrooms and keeping students focused? A Sheffield secondary school is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to manage lessons and support student learning when teachers are absent.

About the Role:
You will supervise lessons, maintain classroom behaviour, and ensure students stay engaged with learning. This is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic school setting and making a direct impact on students’ progress.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during lessons when the teacher is absent
- Maintain classroom behaviour and engagement
- Follow lesson plans and support students with learning activities
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student behaviour and progress
- Support school routines and uphold safeguarding standards
Requirements:
- Previous classroom experience desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, reliable, and adaptable
- Ability to maintain discipline while encouraging positive learning behaviours

- Have the right to work in the UK
- Hold an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
