Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you confident managing a classroom and supporting pupils’ learning across different subjects?
GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from a reliable Cover Supervisor to work in schools across Sheffield (S35). This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and want to gain valuable experience in a school environment.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils stay focused and complete the work provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes and deliver pre-planned lessons as a Cover Supervisor.
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support pupils in completing tasks and remaining engaged in learning.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil progress and behaviour.
- Assist with maintaining a safe and structured learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Confidence, adaptability, and a professional approach.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
