Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield – S5
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately
Are you passionate about helping young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs thrive academically and emotionally? GSL Education is looking for a compassionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to support students in a specialist provision in Sheffield (S5).
About the School:
This provision focuses on supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. The staff team prioritises building strong relationships with students and creating a structured environment where learners feel supported and understood.
About the Role:
As an SEMH Teacher, you will deliver tailored lessons while supporting students’ emotional and behavioural development, helping them re-engage with education.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs
- Support students’ emotional, social, and academic development
- Implement behaviour management strategies that promote engagement
- Work collaboratively with support staff and leadership teams
- Monitor and assess student progress
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience supporting students with SEMH or SEN needs
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Patience, resilience, and adaptability

- Have the right to work in the UK
- Hold an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
