Drama Teacher
Location: Canterbury & Medway, Kent
Contract Type: Full-time
Start: ASAP
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Are you a passionate and creative Drama Teacher looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity in Kent? We are currently recruiting talented and dedicated Drama Teachers to join two highly regarded secondary academies located in Canterbury and Medway.
These Drama Teacher positions provide the opportunity to work in well-established secondary academies with strong reputations for inclusive education and high standards. Both schools offer modern performing arts facilities that allow a Drama Teacher to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons.
Key responsibilities of the Drama Teacher include:
• Planning and delivering engaging Drama lessons across the secondary curriculum
• Encouraging creativity, confidence, and performance skills
• Supporting students with rehearsal, performance work, and creative projects
• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress in Drama
• Promoting participation in school productions and extracurricular activities
• Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment
The ideal Drama Teacher will have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification
• Proven experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for performing arts education
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
