Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are hiring an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join schools in Barnsley, covering the S70 and S71 areas. The Geography Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that develop enquiry skills, map work, and awareness of global and local issues.

Main Duties:

  • Plan and deliver geography lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Encourage investigation into physical and human geography topics.
  • Support students in developing research, analytical, and fieldwork skills.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Essential Requirements of Geography Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching geography in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
