Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are searching for an enthusiastic History Teacher to join schools across Barnsley (S70, S71), delivering engaging lessons that develop critical thinking, analysis, and a love of learning.
As History Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured History lessons, supporting students in understanding historical concepts, evaluating sources, and forming well-reasoned arguments in a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Duties of History Teacher:
- Deliver well-prepared History lessons in line with curriculum expectations
- Encourage enquiry, discussion, and independent thinking
- Support students in analysing evidence and developing historical arguments
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
Candidate requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification
- Experience teaching History in a school setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
