Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Do you enjoy teaching physical education and helping students develop confidence, fitness, and teamwork?
GSL Education are looking for a passionate PE Teacher to work with schools in Barnsley, including the S70 and S71 areas, delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to enjoy sports and stay active.
As a Physical Education (PE) Teacher, you will plan and deliver well-structured lessons across a range of physical activities, helping students build skills, improve fitness, and develop positive attitudes towards health and teamwork in a supportive classroom and sports environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Encourage physical activity, teamwork, and personal development.
- Maintain a safe and well-managed environment for all students.
- Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Support extracurricular sports activities and school competitions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working as a PE Teacher in a school setting.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
