Job Title: Drama Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from a dynamic Drama Teacher to work in schools across Barnsley (S70, S71). This is an exciting opportunity to engage pupils in the performing arts and help them develop confidence, creativity, and communication skills.

As a Drama Teacher, you will deliver imaginative lessons that encourage pupils to explore acting, improvisation, script work, and stagecraft in a supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons as a Drama Teacher.
  • Encourage pupils to express themselves through performance and creative activities.
  • Support the development of acting, presentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to school productions and extracurricular drama activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Drama in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • A creative, enthusiastic, and motivating teaching approach.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
