Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Margate
Salary: £150 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teacher to work in schools in Margate with an immediate start.
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver tailored lessons designed to meet the individual needs of students, helping them develop confidence, independence, and academic progress. You will work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure each pupil receives the appropriate support to succeed. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
Your Responsibilities as an SEN Teacher:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the needs of students with SEN
- Adapt teaching methods and learning resources to support individual learning requirements
- Support pupils in developing academic, communication, and social skills
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and SEN staff to support pupils effectively
- Encourage positive behaviour and support students’ emotional wellbeing
- Communicate with parents, carers, and other professionals regarding pupil development
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and support strategies
- Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Skills & Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs is desirable
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A patient, supportive, and flexible approach to teaching
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
