Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Sevenoaks
Salary: £150 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to work in schools in Sevenoaks with an immediate start. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled teacher who is committed to providing tailored learning experiences for students with additional needs.
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver structured and engaging lessons designed to support pupils with diverse learning needs, helping them build confidence, independence, and academic progress. You will work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure that every student receives the support they need to succeed.
Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with SEN
- Adapt teaching strategies and learning materials to support individual learning needs
- Support students in developing academic, social, and communication skills
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Work closely with teaching assistants to provide effective classroom support
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in the classroom
- Liaise with parents, carers, and other professionals to support student development
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and support strategies
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times
Requirements of an SEN Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs is desirable
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A patient, supportive, and flexible approach to teaching
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
