Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are searching for a skilled Maths Teacher to work with schools in Barnsley, including the S70 and S71 areas, delivering engaging lessons that make mathematics clear and accessible.

As a Mathematics Teacher, you will deliver well-structured lessons that build confidence in numerical skills, develop problem-solving abilities, and encourage students to apply mathematical concepts in a supportive classroom environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver well-structured maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Encourage problem-solving, logical thinking, and numerical confidence.
  • Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Support students of different abilities through differentiated learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a Maths Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
