Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in schools across the S70 and S71 areas of Barnsley.
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons while helping pupils stay focused, confident, and motivated in their learning.
Key Duties of Teaching Assistant:
- Provide classroom support to the teacher during lessons and activities.
- Assist pupils with their learning on a 1:1 or small group basis.
- Help maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support learning outcomes.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patient, supportive, and proactive approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
