Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day supply

GSL Education are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to work in schools across Barnsley (S70, S71), ensuring lessons run smoothly and students remain focused in the teacher’s absence.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will oversee pre-set work, maintain positive behaviour in the classroom, and support students in completing their tasks in a calm and organised learning environment.
Main Duties:
- Supervise classes using the lesson plans provided by the teacher
- Ensure students stay on task and complete assigned work
- Maintain strong classroom management and positive behaviour
- Provide guidance to students when required
- Report back to teaching staff on lesson progress and behaviour
Requirements of Cover Supervisor:
- Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting is desirable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Confidence managing a classroom environment
- A proactive and supportive approach to student learning
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
