Job Title: Behaviour Support/Mentor
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support / Mentor to work with schools in Dinnington (S25), supporting students who require additional behavioural and emotional guidance.

As a Behaviour Support / Mentor, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to help students manage their behaviour, build resilience, and stay engaged with their learning in a supportive and structured environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with behavioural needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help students develop self-regulation skills.
  • Support teachers in maintaining a calm and focused classroom environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students to support their emotional wellbeing.
  • Monitor student progress and report concerns or improvements to staff.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams to support student development.

Requirements of Behaviour Support / Mentor:

  • Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural needs, is desirable.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A patient, supportive, and resilient approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
