Job Title: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a proactive and supportive Behaviour Support Staff member who can help students overcome challenges and stay engaged in learning?

Schools in Sheffield (S5, S9) and GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Staff member to provide consistent behavioural and pastoral support to pupils.

As Behaviour Support Staff, you will work closely with students who may struggle with behaviour, emotional regulation, or engagement. You will help create a calm, structured environment where pupils feel supported and motivated to make positive choices.

Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Staff:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group behaviour support.
  • Assist pupils in developing emotional regulation and coping strategies.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies set by the school.
  • Support students during lessons, breaks, and unstructured times.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in behaviour support or mentoring roles.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • A patient, consistent, and resilient approach.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
