Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: WF4
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? A school in the WF4 area is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to help students access learning and build confidence in the classroom.

The school promotes an inclusive learning environment where students receive tailored support to help them succeed. Staff work closely together to ensure pupils feel supported, encouraged, and motivated in their education.

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with additional learning needs, helping them engage in lessons and develop independence.

Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
• Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning strategies.
• Encourage student engagement and participation in lessons.
• Support behaviour management and emotional development.
• Monitor and record student progress where required.

Qualifications:
• Experience supporting students with SEN preferred.
• Patient and supportive approach to working with young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with teachers and support staff.

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
