Computer Science Teacher
Location: York
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full Time
Start Date: February 2026 or sooner
GSL Education are seeking a knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join a well established secondary school in York.

This secondary school provides a modern and forward thinking curriculum designed to prepare pupils for the digital world. The Computing department encourages problem solving, logical thinking and creativity through coding, programming and digital learning activities. Staff work collaboratively to support pupils in developing essential technological skills.
Responsibilities

Teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4

Deliver lessons on programming, computing principles and digital literacy

Support pupils with coursework and technical projects

Monitor progress and prepare pupils for GCSE assessments

Promote safe and responsible use of technology
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching Computer Science or ICT in a UK secondary school

Strong technical knowledge and classroom management skills

Ability to engage pupils in digital learning

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
