Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham (S25)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
You will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide targeted assistance to students with SEMH needs.

Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
• Help students stay focused and engaged during lessons.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning support.
• Monitor and record student progress when required.

Qualifications:
• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patient and proactive attitude towards student support.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students.

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
