Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Do you enjoy teaching history and helping students understand the past and its influence on the world today?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to work in Sheffield, including the S2 and S3 areas, delivering engaging lessons that bring historical events, people, and ideas to life.

As a History Teacher, you will deliver well-structured lessons that encourage students to think critically, analyse historical sources, and develop a deeper understanding of different periods and cultures within a supportive classroom environment.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging History lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Encourage critical thinking and discussion about historical events and perspectives.
  • Create a positive and focused classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Support students in developing research and analytical skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a History Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
