Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Barnsley
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons in the absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task and follow the planned curriculum.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise classes and ensure students remain engaged in lesson activities.
• Maintain a calm and focused classroom environment.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials.
• Report student progress and behaviour to teaching staff.
• Support students who may need additional guidance.
Qualifications:
• Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Confidence supervising groups of students.
• Flexible and adaptable approach.

• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
