Health & Social Care Teacher – Alternative Provision (Tower Hamlets)

Pay: £200–£280 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you a passionate Health & Social Care Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need it most? An Alternative Provision school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated and resilient educator to join their team for an immediate start.


About the Role

  • Deliver engaging, accessible Health & Social Care lessons to KS3–KS5 pupils.
  • Work with small class sizes in a nurturing, supportive environment.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with SEMH, behavioural needs, or those unable to access mainstream education.
  • Work closely with pastoral staff, support workers, and SLT to create a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to students’ personal development, confidence, and future career pathways.

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS, QTLS, or relevant FE teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Health & Social Care (BTEC, Vocational, or GCSE level).
  • Previous experience in an Alternative Provision, PRU, SEMH or SEND setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a compassionate, patient approach.
  • Someone reliable, resilient, and genuinely passionate about helping vulnerable learners succeed.
