Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistants
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a structured and supportive school environment!
GSL Education are currently recruiting experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants to work in schools within the Dinnington (S25) area.
As Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Teaching Assistants (SEMH TA), you will support pupils who require additional guidance to manage emotions, behaviour, and engagement with learning. You will play an important role in helping students feel supported, safe, and ready to learn.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
- Support pupils in developing emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Assist teachers in delivering structured and supportive learning activities.
- Implement behaviour support strategies and interventions.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
Requirements of SEMH Teaching Assistants:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Patient, resilient, and supportive approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
