Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Help students develop strong communication, reading, and writing skills while building confidence in analysing and expressing ideas!
GSL Education are searching for an experienced English Teacher to join schools in Sheffield (S2, S3), delivering engaging lessons that inspire a lasting interest in language and literature.
As English Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured English lessons, encouraging learners to explore a range of texts while developing their comprehension, analytical thinking, and creative writing abilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver well-planned English lessons aligned with curriculum expectations
- Support pupils in developing reading, writing, and spoken communication skills
- Encourage analysis and discussion of literary texts
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour and an engaging learning environment
- Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
What we are looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience working as English Teacher in a school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
