Job Title: SEN Support
Location: Newcastle
Pay rate: £95 -£115 Per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Support professional who is passionate about helping students with additional needs succeed?

Schools in Newcastle and GSL Education are hiring a committed Special Education Needs (SEN) Support member to provide tailored academic and emotional assistance to pupils with special educational needs.

In this role, you will work closely with students who may require additional guidance in learning, communication, or behaviour. You will help create a supportive and inclusive environment where pupils feel encouraged to participate and build confidence in their abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group SEN support.
  • Assist students with learning activities and classroom tasks.
  • Support the implementation of individual learning plans.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting SEN pupils or in a similar role.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding practices.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
