SL Education is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Harlow that is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to work in a friendly school environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their best and staff work collaboratively to create engaging learning experiences.
About the Role
As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum, helping pupils build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and wider learning. The school is looking for a teacher who can create a positive and nurturing classroom environment where children feel confident, supported, and motivated to learn.
Key Responsibilities

Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum

Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
-
Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
-
Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff
-
Maintaining strong classroom management and positive behaviour strategies

Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
The Ideal Candidate
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (including placements)

Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum

Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach to teaching

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
