Teacher of History
Location: Swale, Kent
Salary: £120 - £250 per day (Negotiable based on experience/scale)
Start date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Long-term supply (Until Easter break)

If so, then we at GSL Education Kent would love to hear from you. We are currently recruiting for a skilled History Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Swale. This is a full-time, short-term placement starting ASAP and running until the Easter break on Friday, 27th March. For the right Teacher of History, there is a strong potential for this role to be extended further into the summer term.

As a History Teacher, you will be expected to:
- Plan and deliver the full UK History curriculum to students across KS3 and KS4.
- Take on the complete teaching cycle, including all planning, marking, and assessment duties.
- Track student data effectively to ensure all learners are supported through the run-up to Easter.
- Adhere to all school-wide policies on safeguarding and curriculum delivery.
In order to be considered for this Teacher of History role, the candidate must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) — this is essential for this specific vacancy.
- Have proven experience as a Teacher of History within a UK secondary setting.
- Be available to start immediately on Monday 9th March and commit to the full duration.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Meet GSL’s safer recruitment background checks.
- Have an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
