Job Title: Behaviour Support/Mentor
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Are you a dedicated Behaviour Support/Mentor who is passionate about helping students overcome behavioural and emotional challenges?
Schools in Wakefield (WF4) and GSL Education are hiring a committed Behaviour Support/Mentor to provide consistent support to pupils who may require additional guidance with behaviour and engagement in learning.
As a Behaviour Support/Mentor, you will work closely with students who may face behavioural or emotional difficulties. You will help create a calm, structured environment where pupils feel supported and encouraged to make positive choices in their learning and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group behavioural support.
- Help students manage behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Support teachers in maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Encourage positive engagement in lessons and school activities.
- Monitor and report on student behaviour and progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a supportive approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
