Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – Secondary Focus
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately
GSL Education is looking for a reliable and proactive Learning Support Assistant to work in secondary schools across Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting students in the classroom, helping them stay engaged, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support teachers in the classroom, help students access lessons, and provide guidance to encourage engagement and learning. You may work across different subjects and year groups, supporting both academic progress and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in delivering lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

Support students with learning tasks and classroom activities

Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and focus in the classroom

Help students develop organisational and study skills

Monitor and provide feedback on student progress to teaching staff

Contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
-
Previous experience supporting students in a secondary school setting is preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to support groups and individual students effectively

Reliable, professional, and adaptable approach
