Job Title: Cover Supervisor / Cover Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Long-term / Day-to-day onwards
Start Date: Immediately
GSL Education are currently seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor / Cover Teacher to work in secondary schools across Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and can step into the classroom to maintain learning during teacher absences.
This role is particularly well suited to experienced Cover Supervisors, Supply Teachers, Unqualified Teachers, or graduates looking to gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor / Cover Teacher in a secondary school, you will supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering pre-set work while ensuring students stay focused and productive. You will play an important role in maintaining classroom structure and supporting the overall learning environment.
Responsibilities:

Supervise lessons across a range of subjects in secondary school classrooms

Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials during teacher absences

Maintain positive classroom behaviour and engagement

Support students in completing assigned work

Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and behaviour
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with young people or within a secondary school environment is desirable

Strong classroom management and communication skills
-
Confidence supervising groups of secondary-aged students
-
A calm, proactive and professional approach
