Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham, S25
Salary: £460 - £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time, Long-term/Day-to-day onwards

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide hands-on support to students with SEN, helping them engage fully in lessons and activities. You’ll play a key role in fostering confidence, independence, and a positive learning experience for each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students to access the curriculum, adapting approaches to meet individual needs.

  • Work alongside teachers and SEN staff to deliver personalised learning and behaviour strategies.

  • Build meaningful relationships to encourage engagement and self-confidence.

  • Assist with personal care, emotional regulation, and day-to-day support where required.

  • Track and report on student progress to help inform SEN plans and interventions.

  • Contribute to a welcoming, safe, and inclusive school environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a school environment is preferred.

  • Knowledge of SEN conditions and practical support strategies.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and flexibility to respond to the needs of different students.
