Inspire and Support Students in Stockton as a Cover Supervisor – Step into a Rewarding Role
Location: Stockton
Salary: £100 - £130 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
GSL Education are seeking confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join dynamic schools across Stockton. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and eager to support young people in a classroom environment.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and supported with their learning. You will deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and maintain a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans and support students with their classwork
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Support learners across a range of subjects and year groups
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Provide feedback to teaching staff after lessons
Requirements for Cover Supervisors:
- Experience working with young people (e.g., in education, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to motivate, lead, and support students
- Adaptable, confident, and calm under pressure
- A genuine interest in education and supporting learner progress
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
