GSL Education are searching for a committed Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive school environment in Darlington. This is a chance to play a meaningful role in the classroom, offering essential support to students and teachers alike.
What You’ll Do as a Teaching Assistant:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
- Provide one-to-one or small-group support to help students progress.
- Assist with behaviour management and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
- Encourage pupils to participate, persevere, and develop essential learning skills.
- Adapt materials and activities to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere where every child feels valued.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting learners.
- Strong communication, patience, and organisational skills.
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
