Salary: £460 - £600 per week

About the Role:
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support to students with SEMH needs, alongside other Special Educational Needs. This role is central to the well-being, learning, and personal development of students, helping them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students in accessing the curriculum, tailoring assistance to individual needs.

  • Implement personalised support strategies and behaviour plans in collaboration with teachers and SEN staff.

  • Build trusting relationships to encourage engagement, confidence, and independence.

  • Assist with personal care, hygiene, and emotional regulation where required, maintaining dignity and respect.

  • Monitor and record student progress, ensuring accurate documentation for SEN/SEMH plans.

  • Contribute to a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting students with SEMH or SEN in a school setting is preferred.

  • Understanding of SEMH conditions and evidence-based support strategies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to meet the dynamic needs of students.
