A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in the Maldon area is seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their Early Years team. About the Role
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will work within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning. You will help create a positive and stimulating environment where children can explore, develop confidence, and build key early learning skills.
This role would suit someone who is creative, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with young children.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum

Assisting with learning through play, structured activities, and daily routines

Encouraging children’s social, emotional, and communication development

Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment

Supporting children with personal care where required

Observing and recording children’s progress and development

Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
The Ideal Candidate
-
Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years
-
Experience working with children within an Early Years or nursery setting

A warm, patient, and nurturing approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and learning

A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
