Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are searching for an engaging History Teacher to work in schools across Barnsley (S70, S71), delivering well-planned lessons that spark curiosity and critical thinking.
As History Teacher, you will guide learners through key historical events, themes, and perspectives, encouraging them to analyse evidence, form balanced arguments, and develop a deeper understanding of different time periods.
What the role involves:
- Plan and deliver structured History lessons in line with curriculum expectations
- Encourage discussion, enquiry, and independent thinking
- Support students in developing analytical and essay-writing skills
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour and a focused learning environment
- Assess progress and provide constructive feedback
What we are looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification
- Experience teaching History in a school setting as History Teacher
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
