Job Title: Computer Science Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

Schools in Barnsley (S70, S71) and GSL Education are searching for a skilled Computer Science (CS) Teacher to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.

As a Computer Science Teacher, you will support students in developing programming skills, computational thinking, and a strong understanding of digital systems. You will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where learners feel confident exploring coding, problem-solving, and new technologies.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver clear, engaging computer science lessons.
  • Teach programming concepts and digital literacy skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet different learning needs.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Good communication and organisational abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
