Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a confident and proactive Cover Supervisor who can maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher?
Schools in Sheffield (S11) and GSL Education are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor (CS) to supervise lessons and support student learning across different subjects.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classroom behaviour, ensure students remain on task, and deliver pre-prepared lesson materials when required. You will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning while supporting students’ engagement and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences.
- Support students in completing set learning activities.
- Maintain positive behaviour and classroom order.
- Provide basic academic guidance when needed.
- Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school or education setting.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- A calm, confident, and professional approach.
- Ability to manage a classroom independently.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
