Salary: £90 to £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day‑to‑day / Long‑term | Part‑time / Full‑time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school community in Ashington. This is more than a classroom support role, it’s about transforming lives, building confidence, and ensuring every child feels valued and understood.

What You Will Be Doing as an SEN TA:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 or small‑group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Assisting with individual learning plans and differentiated classroom activities
  • Supporting students with emotional regulation, communication, and social skills
  • Helping create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, etc.)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to helping young people
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt quickly to individual needs
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
