Food Technology Teacher

Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £165 – £265 per day
Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Long Term until July 2026, Part Time (Tues to Fri)

GSL Education London Branch is excited to be working with a welcoming secondary comprehensive school and sixth form for girls. We are currently looking for a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join their team from April 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Food Technology Teacher who enjoys inspiring young people and delivering high-quality lessons. The school is seeking an experienced Food Technology Teacher who can confidently teach GCSE and Hospitality and Catering.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Teach a GCSE Year 11 class confidently and effectively
  • Deliver Hospitality and Catering courses to a high standard
  • Prepare students for exams and coursework assessments
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide clear feedback
  • Work closely with other staff and attend meetings when required
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and learning

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience as a Food Technology Teacher in secondary schools
  • Strong experience teaching GCSE Food Technology
  • Experience teaching Hospitality and Catering
  • Good classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A positive and professional attitude
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
