Food Technology Teacher
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £165 – £265 per day
Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Long Term until July 2026, Part Time (Tues to Fri)
GSL Education London Branch is excited to be working with a welcoming secondary comprehensive school and sixth form for girls. We are currently looking for a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join their team from April 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Food Technology Teacher who enjoys inspiring young people and delivering high-quality lessons. The school is seeking an experienced Food Technology Teacher who can confidently teach GCSE and Hospitality and Catering.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Teach a GCSE Year 11 class confidently and effectively
- Deliver Hospitality and Catering courses to a high standard
- Prepare students for exams and coursework assessments
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and provide clear feedback
- Work closely with other staff and attend meetings when required
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and learning
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience as a Food Technology Teacher in secondary schools
- Strong experience teaching GCSE Food Technology
- Experience teaching Hospitality and Catering
- Good classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive and professional attitude
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
