Salary: £90 – £110 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are looking for enthusiastic, committed, and nurturing Primary Teaching Assistant to join welcoming and inclusive primary school across the Ashington area. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in the classroom, working closely with teachers to provide tailored support, deliver engaging learning activities, and create a warm, positive environment where pupils can succeed.
Your Role as a Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) Will Include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning, development, and wellbeing across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
- Working 1:1 or with small groups to deliver targeted interventions.
- Assisting the class teacher with preparing learning materials and setting up activities.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere.
- Always following safeguarding procedures and all school policies.
What We’re Looking for in a Primary Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Experience working with children or young people (school setting, tutoring, volunteering, childcare, coaching, etc.).
- A caring, patient, and proactive attitude with a genuine passion for supporting primary-aged pupils.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
