Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you an engaging and knowledgeable History Teacher who can inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of the past?
Schools in Sheffield (S5, S9) and GSL Education are looking for a passionate History Teacher to deliver well-structured and stimulating lessons.
As a History Teacher, you will help students explore significant historical events, develop source analysis skills, and improve critical thinking through discussion and enquiry-based learning. You will create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independent thinking, and academic progress.
Key Duties:
- Plan and deliver clear and engaging history lessons.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly.
- Encourage source interpretation and analytical discussion.
- Adapt teaching methods to support different learning needs.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and participation.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching History in a school setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Good communication and organisational abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
