Job Title: Trainee Teacher
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you an aspiring teacher looking to gain hands-on classroom experience?
GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Teachers to work across schools in Newcastle starting ASAP. This role is ideal for graduates, career changers, or individuals currently completing teacher training who are eager to build their confidence in lesson delivery and classroom management.
As a Trainee Teacher, you will support experienced teachers while gradually taking on more responsibility in leading lessons and supporting pupil progress. Flexible day-to-day and long-term opportunities are available, with both full-time and part-time positions to suit your availability.
Trainee TeacherResponsibilities:
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging lessons across school’s key stages
- Lead small group activities and whole-class sessions under supervision
- Assist in maintaining a positive and focused learning environment
- Provide targeted support to pupils requiring additional help
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers
- Prepare teaching resources and classroom materials
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions
- Follow safeguarding and child protection policies at all times
Requirements for a Trainee Teacher:
- A degree in a relevant subject
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in teaching or already on the way to becoming a teacher.
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Confidence working with children or young people
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
