Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Stockton
Salary: £95 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Stockton starting ASAP.
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with class teachers to support learning in the classroom, provide targeted intervention, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils
- Assist pupils with SEND, EAL, or additional learning needs
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Prepare and organise learning resources and materials
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers
- Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive environment
- Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Key Requirements to be a Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable)
- A degree in Education, psychology, sports, social care, science or a similar field.
- CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or childcare is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, proactive and flexible approach
- A genuine interest in supporting pupil development
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
