Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Do you enjoy teaching English and inspiring students to develop confidence in reading, writing, and communication?
GSL Education are seeking a committed English Teacher to work with schools in Barnsley, including the S70 and S71 areas, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons.
As an English Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons across literature and language, helping students strengthen their analytical skills, creativity, and understanding of a wide range of texts in a supportive classroom environment.
Main Duties:
- Deliver well-planned English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach a variety of texts, including novels, poetry, and drama.
- Support students in developing reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
- Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working as an English Teacher in a school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
