Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate:£460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are hiring a reliable and caring Teaching Assistant to join schools in Barnsley, covering the S70 and S71 areas. The Teaching Assistant (TA) will work closely with class teachers to provide in-class support, helping students stay engaged and make steady academic progress.
Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support during lessons.
- Assist with preparing and adapting classroom resources.
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
