Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate:£460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day supply
Provide reliable classroom support and help maintain continuity in learning when teaching staff are absent!
GSL Education are inviting applications for a confident Cover Supervisor to work across schools in Barnsley (S70, S71), ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged throughout the school day.
As Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise pre-set lessons, manage behaviour effectively, and create a calm, structured environment where students can complete their work successfully.
Key duties of Cover Supervisor:
- Oversee lessons using materials prepared by teaching staff
- Maintain clear expectations and positive classroom behaviour
- Support pupils in understanding and completing assigned tasks
- Record attendance and report any concerns to senior staff
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Confidence leading a classroom independently
- A professional, adaptable, and organised approach
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
