Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate:£460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day supply

GSL Education are currently recruiting a compassionate and proactive Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to work in schools across the S70 and S71 areas of Barnsley.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, assisting them with learning activities while promoting independence and confidence.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Requirements of SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
